Wednesday Playgroup

Tomorrow, August 26th we will meet, around 10:30 am, at Veterans Memorial Park for our final playgroup of the summer. It is located at 63rd and Portland Avenue. Feel free to bring a lunch and plan on staying to visit and enjoy the beautiful weather.

We will have to decide a time and place to meet once the older children are in school.

Claunch Baptism

You are invited to the baptism of Kevin Claunch on Saturday, August 15th at 10:00 am in the Lake Nokomis building. Refreshments will be served following the service.

Our Enrichment Night Activity...

... will be a BEACH PARTY at Lake Nokomis Beach (the big one), this Tuesday, August 11th @ 6:30. The evening should be beautiful and full of visiting, watching the kids play and enjoying fresh fruits and vegetables. Please bring your favorite veggie or fruit, sliced and ready to share with the group.

( Swimming suits are completely optional and cameras are banned ;) )

Friday Playgroup moved to Wednesdays

Sorry for the short notice. I thought I posted this last week.

At playgroup last week we decided to try meeting on Wednesdays. Hope this works for everyone.

Tomorrow we will meet at our usual park, Lake Nokomis Park at 2401 E. Minnehaha Pkwy. We'll meet around 10:30. You are welcome to bring a lunch and stay as long as you would like.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions of places to meet for coming weeks.

Friday Playgroup on Wednesday this week...

Hi All! We thought we would try to fit in one more playgroup with Raina and her girls, so we are going to meet on WEDNESDAY instead of Friday. We will meet around 10:30 at Jen Claunch's place and then walk over to the pool to go swimming. If you don't know where Jen lives, just leave a comment and we will get you the information you need.

Friday Playgroup...

Same as last week. That is, unless we just want to call the Ward Pioneer Picnic good for the day. Let me know what your thoughts are on this.

Friday Playgroup

Playgroup will be held at the usual location, Lake Nokomis Park at 2401 E. Minnehaha Pkwy. Meet around 10:30, pack a picnic, visit and let the children burn some energy!

Potluck Picinic Enrichment Activity

Hello Ladies! July's Enrichment Night will be held at Veteran's Memorial Park, on July 14th, at 6:30 pm. Watch for us under the big pavilion. Please bring something to share with the group. It can be anything you desire; a main dish, side salad, dessert or something in between. We will send a sign up sheet around on Sunday. You can also leave a comment here.

Children are welcome, however, formal childcare will not be provided, so you will be responsible for watching them.

Friday Playgroup

We will meet, at 10:30 for playgroup this Friday at Lake Nokomis Beach (the one with the playground on the shore). Stay as long as you would like, pack a lunch, invite a friend and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota summer. See you there!

Please attend this inspiring Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2009, at 7:00 pm, at the Lakeside Pavilion in Como Park (1360 Lexington Parkway North, St Paul).

Volleyball Tuesday!

Super Saturday Service Project

We had a great turn-out(I think 31 in all) and a splendid time at the Feed My Starving Children service project. Thank you to all who participated!

The Stats: During our packaging session we...

... packaged 88 boxes

... put together 19,008 meals

... provided 52 children with one meal per day for 1 full year

We will not be having volleyball tonight. We decided because of summer that having volleyball every other week would be best. See you NEXT week!

Feed My Starving Children Service Project

Saturday, June 27: Meet at the church at 1:00 pm. We will carpool to Eagan. There are about 25 people that have signed up, and we have 40 slots to fill. So, if you have children, 3rd grade and older, husbands, neighbors, friends or acquaintances that would be interested in packaging food for humanitarian purposes, please invite them! If you will be bringing additional helpers, leave a comment as to how many I need to add to the list. I would like to call FMSC by Monday afternoon if we aren't going to have 40 volunteers so that they can open up these coveted positions. Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Park Playgroup... change of venue!

Friday, June 26th: Meet at Lynnhurst Park on the corner of 50th and Minnehaha Parkway, around 10:30 a.m. Plan on bringing a lunch and your swim gear. If the weather is warm the kids (and moms) will want to splash in the wading pool.

Volleyball

Hopefully this will help to keep us all in touch with one another about some of the activities that we'll be doing. Please check every week to see changes in activities or locations. And please comment if you have any suggestions or ideas of fun things we could do.
